I’d like to introduce my independent project Climate Chronicle. It brings together historical and current measurements from official weather stations across several European countries in one interactive map.

I’m currently working on adding Scandinavia, and I started with Norway. Today I finished integrating the Norwegian data from MET Norway. --> Frost

You can explore weather stations on the map, follow long-term measurement series, and compare different periods and stations.

The project is based on real station measurements, so missing values are left as gaps rather than estimated or interpolated. The Norwegian data was very comfortable to work with and will be transferred into my system in a partly automated way in the future. This means that new data from Norwegian weather stations will be added to the site on an ongoing basis.
The site is completely free to use and ad-free, and the processed data can also be exported for your own analysis or further use.

I’m not a meteorologist. I built the project simply out of personal interest in climate data, and I’m learning a lot along the way. Feedback, ideas and suggestions are always very welcome.
