Webinar ‘Open data for crisis response and resilience: cases from European and national institutions’
24 April 2026
OnlineHow can open data help Europe anticipate crises, support rapid response, and strengthen long‑term resilience? Join us for the upcoming data.europa academy webinar on ‘Open data for crisis response and resilience: cases from European and national institutions’, taking place on Friday, 24 April 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 CEST.
In this webinar, Auriane Denis Loupot from DG ECHO will present the EU‑level perspective. She will introduce the analytical services of the Emergency Response Coordination Centre and explain how open data supports early warning systems, resource mobilisation, and coordinated responses to natural hazards such as wildfires.
The session will also feature a national perspective from Ines Bedar, Legal Advisor to the Prime Minister’s Services. Drawing on her experience during the COVID‑19 pandemic, she will share practical lessons from the French Prime Minister’s Office, including the development of a national COVID‑19 dashboard, the use of hospital data through the SI‑VIC system, and collaboration between government and civil society.
After registering, you will receive an email with a calendar invite and webinar link. This webinar is part of the ‘Measuring the impact of open data’ course offered by the data.europa academy and will be recorded for future access.
