Open Source for Interoperable Europe: Advancing collaboration through the EU Open Source Solutions Catalogue
The European Commission invites you to an exclusive webinar on the 5th of March 2026, 14:00-15:30 titled Open Source for Interoperable Europe - Advancing collaboration through the EU Open Source Solutions Catalogue.
This webinar will introduce the EU Open Source Solutions Catalogue - a centralised repository designed to foster transparency, reuse, and cooperation among public administrations across Europe. As part of the European Commission’s ongoing efforts to strengthen digital interoperability, this event will highlight how open, collaborative approaches are driving public sector digital transformation.
Why attend?
Public administrations across the EU are increasingly exploring open source solutions not only to meet the requirements of the Interoperable Europe Act, but also to respond to the growing need for cost efficient and trustworthy digital tools. The EU Open Source Solutions Catalogue supports these efforts by:
- Providing visibility to reusable solutions;
- Facilitating the onboarding of national, regional, and local catalogues; and
- Showcasing standout individual open source solutions developed for or used by public sector bodies.
During the webinar, participants will gain an understanding of how the Catalogue supports Member States in advancing cross-border cooperation and strengthening digital sovereignty. During the webinar, participants will gain insights into how the Catalogue supports Member States in advancing cross-border cooperation and explore the Catalogue’s scope and onboarding requirements. They will also learn about publiccode.yml, the Catalogue’s metadata specification that enhances discoverability and structured documentation of open source solutions, and access training materials and practical guidance to prepare for successful onboarding.
This webinar offers a unique opportunity to exchange perspectives with peers and experts, explore how you can benefit from our contribute to the EU OSS Catalogue, and ask questions and engage directly with the EU OSS Catalogue team.
