Public Review Announcement: DCAT-AP for HVD 3.0.1
Dear DCAT-AP and SEMIC community Members,
The public review of DCAT AP for High Value Datasets (HVD) 3.0.1 is now open, and we
warmly invite the community to engage with and help shape this important update supporting the implementation of High Value Datasets under the Open Data Directive. The draft specification is available for consultation at:
https://semiceu.github.io/DCAT-AP/drafts/3.0.1-hvd/The public review will remain open until September 2026. All stakeholders are encouraged to review the draft and contribute feedback via the repository.
We particularly encourage members of the community to review the specification critically, assess its applicability in operational and reporting contexts, and actively contribute by raising issues or sharing suggestions. Your input is essential to ensure that the specification remains robust, clear, and aligned with evolving policy and implementation needs.
This version introduces a series of targeted editorial improvements and data model refinements. Updates such as enhanced support for HVD reporting (including mandatory attributes like dataset title, description, and distribution downloadURL), improved alignment with DCAT AP requirements, and refinements to vocabulary usage and controlled vocabularies. Additional updates also address usability aspects, including clearer examples, syntax corrections, and improved documentation structure.
We thank you in advance for your valuable contributions and look forward to your feedback during this review process.
Best regards,
The SEMIC Team
