Dear open data representatives,We are happy to invite you to the data.europa academy workshop ‘How to use open data for your research’. The workshop will take place online on Thursday 19 October from 10.00 to 12.00 CET.
This workshop is the first in a series of workshops initially designed for students and academics, and open to anyone interested in understanding how to use open data on research. It will showcase the relevance and importance of open data for academic purposes. The workshop starts with an introduction on how you can use data.europa.eu to look for datasets of your interest and unleash its potential. Afterwards, we will learn about three real-life use cases on how to make the best out of open data in the academic field. We will count with the participation of three European universities – KU Leuven Research Repository, University of Amsterdam Linked Open Data Project, and UniOR NLP Research Group that will present practical examples and ongoing projects that will show how open data can be used to conduct research and drive innovation.
It will be followed by a hands-on exercise where we will learn how to put these learnings into practice and transform data into solutions. To wrap up, you’ll have the opportunity to share your insights and ask your questions during a Q&A session.
Do you want to participate? Click here to register for the workshop. After registration, you will receive an email containing the calendar invite and the ClickMeeting link.
This will be a public webinar, meaning that all open data enthusiasts are invited to join. Feel free to share the registration form within you network.
We hope to see you soon!
